Most Creative Uniform Contest!

This year we will have a Most Creative Uniform Contest.  Teams can come up with their own uniform design, and are not required to wear their regular season AYSO uniform.  Designs must still comply with AYSO rules for safety, so they must not include anything hard (clips, rhinestones, belt buckles, jewelry, etc.).  Players on each team need to match each other to identify them as being on the same team.  Soft hats, gloves, and pants are allowed.

Shin guards and socks are still required.

The referees will vote on the uniform designs, and select a boys team and a girls team to win.  There will be winners for each age division.

Referee Schedule & Info

REFEREES!

Let’s make sure every game is covered with a Referee, the games start on time, and it’s a good playing experience for the kids. As noted below, stop by the Referee tent often as the schedule may change.

A few notes:

  • Stop by the tent and get your Tournament t-shirt.  They’re cool.
  • Pick up your meal card and enjoy the food.
  • Start games on time and keep them to schedule.  In fact, start them early and end them early.  If we get behind, there are built-in gaps to catch up, but it can cause a disaster when we have some many teams and Referees moving from field to field on tight timing.
  • Come by the Referee tent early and often.  The Referee plan will be plotted on a large paper.  Confirm that you are doing your games by coloring in your name with a yellow highlighter.  That way we know it’s covered.  If you cannot do a game, tell one of us so we can white-out your name and look for a replacement.
  • Give game cards, clearly noted with the winning and losing team and score, to the winning coach after the game.  Writing something like “W 3-2” on one card and “L 2-3” on the other helps.
  • Read the 4v4 Rules ahead of time (they're in the tournament information download to the left).  Watch some games, if possible, before you Referee.  Attend the 8:00 rules review if you can.  ASK if you need some clarification.
  • This tournament is a blast.  It’s good-natured and relaxed. So, have fun!
